CHRISTINA CHEON is an active musician and educator based in Orange County, California. Her experiences with percussion reach back to middle school, when she joined her school band as a percussionist and continued specializing on the marimba in high school.

She had her solo artist debut in 2010 at Chapman University’s Memorial Hall after winning the scholastic division of the 2009 Southern California International Marimba Competition. She went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in percussion performance at Chapman University and her master’s degree in marimba performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

In 2014, Christina helped found Southern California Marimba in hopes of making professional support more accessible to marimba students and artists, as well as creating a welcoming community for anyone who loves the instrument. She has since been leading the organization as the CEO and artistic director.

Christina is currently performing, teaching private lessons in the area, and providing clinics for school music programs in California. She is proud to endorse Marimba One as an Educational Artist. To learn more about Christina, please visit
