Celebrate the season with us: SCM Holiday Fundraising Concert on Dec. 14!

This holiday season, we are celebrating with marimba music, good food, and community mingling. If you’re around, come join our Holiday Fundraising Concert at 4pm on December 14 at Harbor Christian Church (Newport Beach, CA). We would love to celebrate our milestones with you and share what we have to offer in the future.

In the spirit of the holidays and community collaboration, we would also like to invite any interested performers to join this concert. Please send us the following items within the next 2 weeks:

  • A short self-introduction
  • A video of yourself performing the complete performance that you want to show at the concert (min. 3 minutes, no max. time limit). Please upload your video online and share the link to us. The video must be clearly labeled with the title and composer of the piece(s).
  • Chamber music is welcome as long as it includes at least one marimba (the venue can provide a 5-octave Marimba One, a grand piano, and a drum set).

There is no age requirement and everyone from students to professionals are welcome to participate!

We will accept performers based on the order of videos received, performances that show a ‘festive’ spirit, and diversity of the applicants. The program lineup will be announced as soon as all of our performing slots are filled and no later than December 1.

All performers selected for this concert will be given a short warm-up time slot before the concert, an artist bio feature on the concert program, and a video/audio recording of their performance.

We are looking forward to your submissions and please feel free to invite your friends and family to this event!
