SCM is excited to present its 6th series, Naoko Takada in Recital, on April 22 at Chapman University!
Headlining this season is world-renowned marimba artist Naoko Takada. “If you have any doubt that a solo mallet instrument can sustain your attention throughout an entire concert, Takada might make you change your mind,” says Washington Post.
Takada promises a colorful and sensual performance with works from Haydn, Purcell, and Paganini, in addition to pieces written for her by Joseph Pereira and Chin Cheng Lin. This event will also include, for the first time at SCM, an afternoon masterclass for interested students before the evening concert.
